James Magar to Represent Nepal and Ultimate Lifting Club at Mr. Asia 2026
Ultimate Lifting Club (ULC) athlete and former Mr. Kathmandu champion James Magar is set to represent Nepal at Mr. Asia 2026, scheduled for September 22–28.
The international competition comes shortly after a successful Mr. Kathmandu 2026 campaign for ULC, where two of the club's athletes earned strong results in Men's Physique.
ULC Athletes Impress at Mr. Kathmandu 2026
At Mr. Kathmandu 2026, held on September 5, ULC athlete Aseem Singh Thapa secured 1st place in the Men's Physique Above 170 cm category.

Their results gave ULC a strong showing at one of Kathmandu's major physique competitions and set the stage for the club's next challenge later this month.
James Magar Heads to Mr. Asia 2026
James Magar will now take ULC onto the international stage at Mr. Asia 2026.
James is an experienced competitor with a background in both powerlifting and bodybuilding. He won U21 powerlifting titles in 2022 and 2023 before going on to win the Mr. Kathmandu title in 2024.
His move from national competition to Mr. Asia marks another significant step in his competitive career.
At Mr. Asia 2026, James will compete against athletes from across the continent while representing Nepal and Ultimate Lifting Club.
A Strong September for Ultimate Lifting Club
September has already delivered notable results for ULC.
Aseem Singh Thapa's Men's Physique victory and Kunal Basnet's top-five finish at Mr. Kathmandu have started the month strongly. Attention now turns to James Magar as he prepares for Mr. Asia.
